Water Bedfordshire is one of the driest regions in the UK. We have the same volume of rainfall as Syria. Water will have to be piped in from the river Trent which will be very expensive to the Water companies who will pass the cost on to us. The predictions for the future as climate change continues to affect us is that we will have hotter, drier summers and wetter winters - so more flooding in winter but even less water in the summer which will mean that only the very rich will be able to afford to water their gardens or wash their cars.
